“GSSC Ltd deliver gate safety training at Hampshire County Council. Following one of the first ever recorded fatal automated gate accidents in 2006 and a number of more recent incidents in the UK, one of Hampshire County Council’s Facilities Managers undertook a Gate Safe Aware training course. The course covered the significant safety risks that an automated gate could pose if it was neither installed nor maintained in line with the correct protocol.
The information from the course was used to raise awareness and promote best practice amongst the 350 strong Property Services department and in addition GSSC Ltd delivered a bespoke in-house training session for a team of 10 designers, engineers and facility managers at the council’s offices”.
Terry Marshall, Facilities Maintenance Contract Manager, Hampshire County Council
